Darlington Partners places Chief Risk Officer, Genworth Financial, Inc.Darlington Partners, Ltd announces the placement of Michel Perreault as Chief Risk Officer for Genworth Financial, Inc. Mr. Perreault will be responsible for enterprise-wide risk management as well as risk oversight for the Retirement and Protection business unit. Perreault will direct a global risk organization of more than 150 employees and will report directly to Genworth Chief Executive Officer Michael D. Fraizer. Mr. Perreault joins Genworth from ING Group where since 2007 he served as the senior vice president, chief actuary and chief insurance risk officer for the company’s U.S. retail business based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Prior to ING, Michel was senior vice president and chief actuary for Old Mutual U.S. Life Holdings in Baltimore, Maryland. From 1994-2001 Mr. Perreault was senior vice president and chief actuary at Fidelity and Guaranty Life, also in Baltimore. Michel began his actuarial career in New York City as an actuarial trainee for The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Michel was born and raised in Quebec, Canada and received his BA Actuarial Sciences from the prestigious LAVAL University. He is certified with both FSA and MAAA credentials.
